My leisurely summer is quickly coming to an end, but boy did I sure need a break from all of our constant moves, homeschooling through our many trials, and just the demands of life! However, we still have one day left of free bowling with friends and a day at the beach with our family!
Here's me and my baby boy, Noah, as we celebrated his 11th birthday this past week.
We're starting back to school next week so I'm busy preparing and planning my homeschooling schedule as my boys head into the 6th and 8th grade.
An fyi: A few years ago I wrote a Christmas ebook to help parents strengthen their children's faith at Christmas. (I know Christ-centered parenting is not something I generally share here on this blog!) In this short, yet practical book, I listed out several hands-on activities you can do with your kiddos, young and old, so they can learn to see Christ at Christmas. In the coming months I'll be busy editing and revising it seeing how I wrote in a week! Goodness, it was filled with typos! Lord willing, I'll have it completed for you by mid-October.
Although my schedule will become fuller in the come days and weeks, I'm still committed to writing my weekly marriage posts for Marital Oneness Mondays.
Also, you probably won't see too much activity coming from me on Facebook and Twitter, (funny, I didn't do much on Twitter to begin with!) But seeing how my family is my first ministry, our household routines and the demands of homeschooling will be taking precedence in my life.
Because of these changes, I highly encourage you to stop on by my Forum for Friends to ask questions if you have them. This community is designed to help fellow sisters in the Lord in their walks, as well as their marriages. And, the forum is a two-fold blessing:
1) It's a time-saver for me. I find it much easier and quicker to answer a question rather than spend hours writing up a blog post.
2) Others can see what I've shared on the subject matter, plus they can chime in and give insight from their own experiences.
I know I've stated in the past that the forum from blogfrog is fickle. Some women have had a hard time signing in or leaving a comment. Nothings changed here. Argh! I'm unable to fix blogfrog's issue. So, I'll continue to leave the forum up and hope that it'll be utilized over time and if it isn't, I'll just take it down.
Oh friend, I can't even begin to tell you how my heart's desire is to minister to all that come here. Not one person is void of hurts and struggles, and while I know that I'm not enough, I can rest in knowing that it is Christ and His glorious transforming power that will ultimately touch your life. If He can use me as His vessel, then I consider myself blessed, yet I know full well that I'm unworthy of this high calling. So, I'll do my best in serving my King by serving you as I continue on in this ministry.
As women, wives, and mothers may we always be intentional about lifting Christ up for all to see!
Live a poured out life for Christ,
