Learning from the Wives of the Bible Series

I've decided to write a series called, Wives of the Bible; What to Do and What Not to Do Based on the Lives of these Women, as I blog every day for the next 13 days of my 1/2 marathon of blogging.

I hope you'll join me each day as I discuss these wives because many of them are a crack up!  Some of them are so Godly and I try to emulate my life after them and others, well, let's just say I've never seen such poor decision-making in all my life!

We'll glimpse into the lives of the many infamous and not so famous wives of the Bible.  Ranging from Eve, to Sarah, to Esther, all the way to the obscure, Pontius Pilate's wife.

The Type of Wives

  1. The Wife of Influence
  2. The Discouraging Wife
  3. The Lying and Prideful Wife
  4. The Worldly Wife
  5. The Contentious and Jealous Wife
  6. The Wife Who Placed a Higher Priority on Motherhood vs. Her Marriage
  7. The Submissive Wife
  8. The Wife Who Didn't Nag, But Could Have
  9. The Enticing Wife
  10. The Wife Who Wasn't a Doormat
  11. The Respectful Wife
  12. The Wife After God's Own Heart
  13. The Transformed Wife
These wives will teach us what to do and what not to do based on how they treated their husbands, children, those around them, as well as how they handled their attitudes in the midst of their difficult circumstances.  You'll see how God blessed these women for their obedience or how their disobedience brought about His consequences to their lives.

Some of these wives will challenge you to the core.

Some of them you'll identify with.

Some will encourage you.

Some will inspire you.

And some you'll want to slap silly.

You'll get insight into....

  • When to keep your mouth shut and when to open it.
  • When to follow your husband's leading and when not to.
  • When to share your heart and when to let the Lord deal with your man.
  • How to prioritize your life.
  • How to have your husband enraptured by you.
  • How much power you really have even though you're not the head of the home.

Journey with me in this series as we turn the pages back in time and learn how to have a Christ-centered marriage.

This is post #1 in the CMBA 1/2 Marathon Blogging Challenge to post everyday for 13 days in October.
